Our role Passivhaus Certification The project: New academic research and teaching building, with a floor area over 9,000m2 it will be the largest Passivhaus building in the UK once it achieves certification. Our focus: Our role has been to support the contractor’s Passivhaus designer, with a particular focus on aspects relating to the building envelope and ventilation system. In particular, we developed a methodology to input the complex curtain walling façade system into the PHPP in a robust manner. We have had a strong site presence to monitor and advise on all aspects relating to Passivhaus such as the integrity of the insulation and ventilation commissioning.
