Sophie from Energy Action Devon has started a wonderful blog about the refurbishment of two rural houses in North Devon. The aim is to take the houses up to the Passivhaus EnerPHit standard (yes we know, the name is ridiculous). As with all retro-fits the initial work has unearthed a range of problems, from rock to asbestos.
We’ve been working with Sophie and the team on this project, and are looking forward to seeing the results – this is such an important example for future rural retrofits where gas is sparse and housing density is low. Follow how they get on: Barbrook Passivhaus
